Noopept is a peptide-like compound often compared to racetams, though it is significantly more potent by weight. It is believed to influence neurotrophic factors such as BDNF, supporting neuroplasticity and cognitive resilience. The evidence
Noopept is a synthetic dipeptide developed in Russia as a more potent relative of piracetam. Most of the supporting research is preclinical — in cell and animal models it raises the neurotrophins NGF and BDNF and protects neurons — with the human trials largely Russian and in clinical (not healthy) populations. Robust, independent human evidence is lacking.

Reported as well tolerated in the available studies, but independent long-term human safety data are sparse.
Who should avoid it
